What is the name of the birth control patch that goes under your skin?

Can you use other birth control such as pills while on this? Does it wor? Is it safe? What is the name of the birth control patch that goes under your skin?
Are you talking about the Implanon? It is about the size of a match stick and it just gets inserted under your arm with a needle. Yes they work. They are 99.9% reliable. You do not need to take any pills while you have the implanon. It lasts for 3 years before you need to get it removed and have a new one inserted. You just need condoms to protect against STDs. I have had 3 implanons and i love not having to remember a pill everyday. They can cause irregular periods, or if you are lucky like me, they will stop your periods all together while you are on the implanon.

Stuart - The Depo is actually an injection that you get every three months. What is the name of the birth control patch that goes under your skin?
The patch goes on top of your skin, not under it. Implanon is the birth control implant that goes under the skin.

They are both considered effective and safe.

You cannot use birth control pillls or the ring when on them. That would be too much hormone. You can use condoms though.
