How do people get the perfect skin?

I've been looking through pictures of scene hair and I've noticed that all the girls have flawless skin. Do they really have that good of skin, or is it just a lot of make-up?

Also, my skin is really pale, so all the foundations I put on look yellow on my skin.Is there anything you can recomend?

One more thing, when I put foundation on, it looks all flacky and crusty. Is it me or the make-up?How do people get the perfect skin?
airbrushing!!

but good make up application can really make skin look flawless.

cleanse and moisturise your skin before you put foundation on, if you have moisturiser on your skin, the foundation is less likely to be flaky.

apply your foundation with a foundation brush. you can get them from cosmetic storres and they make your foundation look really professional.

you could also try a tinted moisturiser which will adapt better to your skin tone, and then use translucent powder to keep skin matte, yet natural.

In pictures, sometimes lighting and airbrushing make a picture look flawless. And also the makeup they use for the photography has different pigments than the makeup you buy over the counter.

You want to buy a foundation that has the same undertone that you have. That's why yours is looking yellow.

If your foundation looks flaky and crusty...try exfoliating and put on a moisturizer before you apply your foundation. That should help.
You need to go somewhere like Nars, Mac, or Bobbi Brown. (Bobbi brown is a bit more natural, Nars is more wild and Mac is in-between.) They will give you some good foundation, concealer and powder to give you that really natural look.

You should learn to accept your skin for being pale. Love it! Do you know how many people would trade you? I myself have very pale skin. Just repeat ';Pale is Beautiful';

If you want to look very flawless for an event, you could also try airbrushing.
i have light skin too, foundation doesnt work either it does flake and get crusty. I use Physicians Formula light bronzer, and it works really well. Its only about $10 in drug stores. I use clinique clarifying lotion every night before bed it makes my skin really soft. I believe you can find that in Ulta or other beauty supply stores.
Those pic's have been airbrushed, and the make up is prob piled on! As far as your foundation color...I find that neutragena has great colors for light skin. I just bought the Mineral Foundation Powder, it works great. It's not to heavy and fake looking. If your foundation is looking flakey it might be because your skin is dry. I always use an oil free moisturizer before I do my make up, and it keeps this from happening. I also exfoliate 2 or 3 times a week with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. This takes care of any dry dead skin. You can get it at any drug store, and it comes in different formulas for your skin type.

First of all Good skin starts with good skincare. You get what you pay for same as makeup. I reccommend Refinee skincare line and Sorme cosmetics. Go to a Salon and speak to a Licensed Skin care person and Licensed Makeup Artist. Get facials once a month. Do it right. FYI magazines use airbrush on photos! No one has perfect skin!
wash it every day with neutrogena soap in warm water. and if belmishes occur treat them individually. putting toothpaste on zits helps to dry them out and get rid of them faster. And after you workout or get sweaty be sure to wash your face in cold water and pat dry.
All make-up
ew, no face cover up crap. go to ulta or some makeup stor devoted to only makeup and ask them forr advice and use COVERGIRL~
