I appreciate that you are a michael jackson fan and you don't just jump to conclusions like he bleached his skin because he was ashamed of being african american. Ive done research and here are my answers:





First: michael, sometime around the release of the Thriller album is diagnosed with a skin disease named vitilgo. It started on his hand, which is why he wore the famous white glove. Vitiligo is a disease that destroys the pigmentation(color) in the skin. this disease can be cured, unless it takes over more than 50 % of the body. Vitiligo took over almost 70% of Michael.





So, he could have let it go, and looked like a dalmation of the rest of his life. he would have looked mostly white, with patches of black. the other option was to bleach himself the rest of the way. Since bleaching black is impossible, he obligated to bleach himself white.





So, YES! michael jackson did indeed bleach himself white! but for medical reasons! not because hes a crazy loon like everyone thinks!How did Michael Jackson change different skin colors?

Vats of Porcelana couldn't even get you no where near the color in which he was. He could have had vitiligo. Unless it was chemically induced depigmentation (the medicines used for vitiligo patients). We'll never know. Dr. Klein's a shady character. Sorry. He is. Report Abuse

Michael Jackson suffered from a skin disease called vitiligo. He has had this conditions since the early 1980's. If you look a some picture of him, you can see the blotches on his chest and arms (in the music video for ';They don't really care about us';). He may have lightened some of his skin, it's not as scandalous as it sounds, he wanted to keep everything even, which i don't think is such an extraordinary thing. That's what happened to his skin.
If your friends are judging someone based on skin color then you are hanging out with racists.





Michael wanted to be lighter because he did not want to look like the ';Man in the Mirror'; which was his father. He took a prescription drug called an ';enzyme inhibitor'; which blocks the biosynthesis of melanin. This made him become lighter.





Michael Jackson would always say that when a white person goes to the beach or the tanning salon to get brown, no body judges them, no body shoots them down because they like being darker.





Michael Jackson was always UNFAIRLY picked on by the media. Your friends are fools for not seeing beyond skin color. His music is genius. When they mature, they might be wise enough to get Michael's message which was love.

Even though Lupus most of the time makes your skin Darker, he must have had a more serious case of Vitiligo.





He later got a procedure that most people with Vitiligo get.It's called Depigmenation, and it even out the rest of the skin. If you watch the video above it shows pictures of his skin turning white and pale. It is very sad, that people believed The Tabloids before Michael. He even tried to wear make up to even it out, but I guess it got so bad, that Make up no longer covered it. He also wore the glove to cover up the patches of the disease.

Well the only reason he got his skin bleached was because he had a diease that he gets white splotches on his skin, so he descided that might as well bleach my skin so it matches..


So its not his fault, he had 2..

ok i get very annoyed at people who say he had vitiligo. he didn't. my brother has vitiligo and he has patches of skin that are whiter that his normal skin on all of the places where he has joints (the place where muscles join together) some poeple get patches on their face, but not over there whole body!!!!
