How long do you have to be in the sun to get a skin issue?

I really like to lay outside after a swim or just in general when it's hot and sunny out.

How long does it take to develop a skin problem from it? Skin cancer, anything that's a problem like that. How many hours?

Thanks. How long do you have to be in the sun to get a skin issue?
Cancers are the extreme skin issue and sun burns are the short term skin issue. Sun burn is classified as a sun issue. That depends on your skin. Cancer works gradually and you get spots and other indications of that such as moles.

If you are going to lay out wear a 45-50 sunscreen that's what my dermatologist has recommended and I have had NO issues ever. I still tan with the 45-50spf but don't burn or get abnormal spots/moles.How long do you have to be in the sun to get a skin issue?
I think it varies. It could be an hour, it could be five, but you should always wear sunblock-as long as you apply that you should be safe.
