How can you tell if raw skin is infected?

I row and the skin on my hand has started to rub raw in some areas. It's pretty bad- the worse my teammates have seen. Now the raw areas have become more red and liquid is coming out of them. On the outside of one, the skin seems to be drying and it is almost turning a brownish greenish yellow color. I have washed them everyday. The first time it hurt but today it didn't hurt as bad. I have also been bandaging them. Help!How can you tell if raw skin is infected?

it sounds like it actually has become infected. you should do something about it. i'm not sure what though.. sorry lol. i haven't had many infections before
