try using a facial scrub like saint ives apricot scrub is really good I get dead skin on my nose and it helps a lot!How to great rid of dead skin from face?
wtf!??!?!??!?! i was looking at these answer to see what i could do for dead skin and i asked my mom if we had scrub like saint ives apricot scrub and she said yes lol im so lucky Report Abuse
That and a mask.
St. Ive's apricot scrub is great. It may not appear like it's doing the job the first time, but keep it up - use a moisturizer after you scrub - you'll notice a difference in no time! It may be dry skin - not dead.
I would try a little home exfoliate. Try mixing virgin olive oil and brown sugar together, and gently rub into face in a round circular motion. It is gentle and will help elevate the dry flaky skin.
You could try a peel off masque or go to your dermatologist and get microdermabrasion
try sterioid cream... Hydrocortisone i think its called
you should get a facial - that'll really clear up your skin and give you a great starting ground to keep it up.
Use a facial scrub that has little scrubbing beads. Don't scrub the skin too hard or you will make sore spots. If the dead skin is overly-dry then put Vaseline on it. It's cheap and effective!
Based on the venerable halfbrick-in-a-stocking, the porcupine-in-a-stocking provides maximum skin cleaning penetration, portability, and angry rodentry in an affordable, accessible package. Simply place your spiked rodent (i.e. porcupine, however hedgehogs / echidnas make excellent replacements depending on location) into a maximum-strength stocking, and scrub that sucker on your dry, flaky skin.
heat water... make it very very hot.. ask for some chinese or arabian herbs and.. before using the steam apply some olive oil on the face and leave it for two hours
then put a towel over ur head and put ur face near to the hot water.. make sure the towel cvers the whole thing that u have the hot water in.. ur gonna sweat sooo much inside.. and breathing is gonna b so hard.. but its gonna clear ur lung and ur face..
then wash it a few times with some natural soap
trust me ur skin is gonna feel out of this world
Tape.
maby its getting rid of it all but its just drying out again. Use lotions n moisterizers.
I exfoliate with something gentle with microbeads instead of the rought chunks in products like Saint Yves Apricot scrub. After I scrub, I take a damp wash cloth and put lotion on it (like Aveeno 24 hr ) and exfoliate WITH lotion, it gets rid of ALL the dead skin and leaves your skin super smooth
Well you've tried exfoliating which is the main thing for getting rid of dead skin, or you may have psoriasis on you face. The best thing I have found for my psoriasis on my hands is to use a cream which you can buy over the counter called Diprovate cream, it's excellent for most skin conditions.
Another thing you can use is an emollient such as Lanolin also avaible at some specialist pharmacies you can buy Aqueous cream which you can wash with and which will help you. You can also use a cream called Dithranol cream, but you will most likely need a doctor's prescritpion for this. I hope this helps you, I have a nursing background.
Best of all, don't be tempted to pick at it, I know it's easier said than done!!! ; )
try a microdermabrasion treatment or glycolic treatment. All the exfoliating could be drying out your skin even more though if you are overdoing it. So give it a rest first and apply moisturizer day and night.
Is it dead because it's dry? If you have dry flaky skin, it wont go away until you start moisturizing it. Try using a heavy moisturizer at nighttime, and a light oil free moisturizer for during the day. Your skin should stop flaking in a couple days.
I know exactly how you feel, i am the same, I have found that L'Oreal Aluminium Oxide crystals work really well, they are expensive (拢9, $18) you only need a small amount and painless. Compared to some chemical peels!
try using a little hard scrubbing a towel
You could get a really nice facial or buy Olay's Microdermabrasion range, it comes with two containers. The exfoliation step is amazing and leaves your skin silky smooth. You use it just twice a week. Costs under $30 and worth it.
have a wash
Lye
